AI-Media Technologies Limited
2025 Annual General Meeting
Chair’s address by John Martin
Good morning and welcome to AI-Media’s 2025 Annual General Meeting. My
name is John Martin, and I have the privilege of serving as Chair of the Board. On
behalf of the Board and executive team, I would like to extend our sincere thanks
to all our shareholders for joining us in person and via our online platform.
Before we begin, I would like to acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora
Nation who are the Traditional Owners of the land on which we meet and pay my
respects to Elders past and present. I would also like to thank our generous hosts,
MA Financial, for making this impressive venue available for our AGM and
Product Demo.
FY25 marked a year of disciplined execution as we completed our transition to a
technology-led business. We delivered total revenue of $64.9 million, with
underlying EBITDA of $4.6 million, and more importantly our gross margin
improved to 69%.
Technology revenue increased by 19% year-on-year to 63% of total revenue, driven
by an uptake in our high-margin technology solutions which achieved 86% gross
margin. Our business is now predominantly technology-led, reflecting our
successful transformation into a true technology business.
Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) reached $17.0 million at 86% gross margin,
reflecting the strength and scalability of our platform. Looking ahead, we are
targeting 35% ARR growth in FY26, signalling continued momentum and
confidence in our strategic direction.
AI-Media evolved into a global SaaS company, originating from Australian
services and US hardware roots, and is uniquely positioned with a live video AI
infrastructure that enables some of the world’s largest enterprises to seamlessly
integrate AI into their workflows at scale.
Operationally, we continue to streamline our legacy services footprint and focus
investment on scaling our technology engine, enhancing our Encoders, iCap
Network, LEXI Text, newly launched LEXI Voice, and our next-generation LEXI AI
product currently in active development.
In FY25, we accelerated our go-to-market strategy, expanding our presence from
13 to 36 countries. Growth was particularly strong in Europe, driven by favourable
regulations such as the European Accessibility Act. Our encoder base grew from
5,094 units in FY24 to 7,062 units in FY25, with each encoder serving as a gateway
to recurring SaaS usage.
We have implemented strategic steps to improve efficiency and better align our
sales team’s incentives with ARR growth. These targeted initiatives include
simplifying commission structures, focusing on channel partnerships, and
continuing to reinvest in product and sales while reducing overhead in general
and administrative areas.
As we enter FY26, we are focused on three clear strategic pillars: product
expansion, segment differentiation, and geographic penetration. These priorities
support our medium-term aspiration to reach $150 million in revenue and $60
million in EBITDA by FY29, with improving operating leverage.
Our Board remains focused on ensuring strong oversight of strategy, risk, capital
allocation, and the talent required to drive execution.
Over the past 12 months, as the company completed its transition to a
technology-led business, we further renewed and strengthened the
composition of our Board. I would like to welcome Otto Berkes and Brad Bender,
two exceptional US-based directors who joined us in November 2024:
•
Otto is a globally respected technology leader who brings a wealth of
experience in product development and innovation. He was one of the
original founders of Xbox, a former CTO of both HBO and CA Technologies,
and held senior roles at Microsoft.
•
Brad brings deep global product management and AI expertise following a
distinguished 25-year career at Google where he most recently served as
Vice President of Product Management.
Together, Otto and Brad now co-chair our new Product & Technology Committee,
ensuring that the Board remains aligned with the company’s product strategy,
technology roadmap, and AI orchestration architecture.
We are privileged to have very experienced directors leading our other Board
Committees:
•
Brent Cubis chairs the Audit & Risk Committee, offering disciplined
financial oversight of our financial management and risk framework; and
•
Cheryl Hayman chairs the Remuneration & Nominations Committee,
supporting strong governance through leadership succession, and longterm incentive structures.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank Alison Loat who
retires today for her distinguished service to AI Media. Alison made valuable
contributions during her long tenure, and we wish her all the best in her future
endeavours.
On behalf of the Board, I want to thank our customers, partners, and most
importantly, our people across the globe for their continued commitment and
resilience. I’d also like to thank our founding CEO, Tony Abrahams, for his
inspiring leadership, drive and commitment to the success of the business. And
to you, our shareholders, thank you for your continued trust and support as AIMedia embarks on an exciting phase of accelerated SaaS growth.
Today’s meeting will continue with our CEO and Co-founder Tony Abrahams
delivering his address, followed by the formal items of business, shareholder Q&A,
and an exciting live demonstration of our product suite.
Thank you again for joining us and I now invite Tony to present the CEO’s address.
AI _ Media Technologies Limited
2025 Annual General Meeting
CEO’s address by Tony Abrahams
Good morning and thank you for joining us. I’m delighted to address you as CoFounder and Chief Executive Officer of AI-Media.
Twenty-three years into our journey, it feels as though we are only just beginning:
with a new AI technology stack, a transformed SaaS business model, and a
renewed world-class Board of Directors.
AI-Media was founded in Sydney in 2003 as a services business. EEG was founded
in New York in 1980 as a hardware business. In May 2021, those two paths
converged, a pivotal turning point for our company.
Today, AI-Media is an AI-native global SaaS company, orchestrating the future of
live video with scalable, cutting-edge technology.
We have built a unique live video AI infrastructure that allows the world’s largest
enterprises to embed AI seamlessly into their workflows at scale.
Our integrated ecosystem delivers end-to-end performance, from capture,
through LEXI automation, to enhanced output including captions, translation,
and voice with industry-leading speed and accuracy. LEXI Text delivers captions
with latency as low as three seconds, while LEXI Voice operates at just eight
seconds.
FY25 Results and Strategic Mix Shift
FY25 marked a decisive shift as AI-Media became a technology-led company.
Technology products accounted for 63% of revenue, compared with zero just five
years ago. Tech revenue grew 19% to $41.1 million, while Services revenue declined
25% to $23.7 million, a deliberate transition, executed with discipline.
This shift lifted gross margin to 69%, supported by 86% Technology margins.
Annual Recurring Revenue reached $17.0 million, with FY26 projected to grow
another 35%.
LEXI usage continues to scale rapidly. In FY25, LEXI minutes reached 79.2 million,
up from fewer than 10 million four years ago. LEXI now accounts for most usage
across our iCap network, compounding at a four-year CAGR of 69%. We expect
this momentum to continue.
Structural Priorities for FY26
To align with our SaaS growth ambitions, three structural shifts are underway:
1.
Finalize services transition – full exit from legacy services by December
2025, highlighted by the UK Parliament’s adoption of 100% LEXI in October.
2. New commission model – directly tied to ARR growth, sharpening
incentives to deliver SaaS scale.
3. Indirect sales focus – currently 16% indirect. Over the next five years, we
will invert this model to 85% indirect, enabling scale, lowering cost, and
extending global reach.
Global Expansion
Our international footprint expanded to 36 countries in FY25, up from 13 the year
before. Europe led growth, supported by regulatory drivers like the European
Accessibility Act, with EMEA encoder sales growing nearly five-fold.
Building a Durable Moat
We are building a long-term moat across five pillars:
1.
Encoders – 7,062 units installed, anchoring workflows and serving as
recurring revenue gateways.
2. LEXI Suite – LEXI Text, LEXI Voice, and soon LEXI AI driving adoption and
ARR.
3. Workflow orchestration – integrations streamline operations and reduce
manual effort, deepening stickiness.
4. iCap Network – monetized and expanding beyond US broadcast.
5. Data security – sovereign, compliant, and protected behind firewalls,
ensuring trust and retention.
Encoders remain our entry point, with each unit representing ~US$50,000
lifetime value. The installed base fuels SaaS usage and underpins long-term
growth.
Efficiency and Discipline
Sales and Product investment increased 24% and 15% respectively, while G&A fell
3% reinforcing our focus on ARR growth and efficiency.
FY29 Targets
Our FY29 targets remain clear: $150 million in revenue and $60 million in EBITDA.
To achieve them, we will:
• Expand SaaS sales
• Accelerate ARR growth
• Scale globally
• Transition decisively to indirect sales
Our strategy is anchored in three pillars:
1. Product expansion – scaling LEXI Text, LEXI Voice, and developing LEXI AI.
2. Segment differentiation – deepening Enterprise, Education, and
Government.
3. Geographic penetration – replicating North American success in Europe
and Asia.
In FY26, our “9 Squares” framework directs focus: Broadcast (EMEA), Enterprise
(LEXI Voice), and Government (North America).
Proof-of-Concepts – LEXI Voice in Action
Across sports, broadcast, government, and international markets, five proof-ofconcepts in FY25 demonstrate LEXI Voice at scale:
1.
Sports (Worcester Red Sox) – On Korean Night, real-time Korean
commentary streamed directly to fans’ smartphones via stadium Wi-Fi. No
new equipment, no costly interpreters, just seamless inclusivity at scale.
2. Broadcast Infrastructure (PlayBox Neo) – Integrated captions and
multilingual voice translation into playout systems, ensuring compliance,
reducing reliance on human captioning, and expanding audience reach.
3. Government (City of Rialto) – Delivered live English to Spanish voice
translation and captions using Encoder Pro+, LEXI Text, LEXI Translate, and
LEXI Voice. Lower cost, ensured compliance, validated the municipal
segment, and secured recurring revenue.
4. International (Switzerland) – Demonstrated how LEXI Voice can reduce
multilingual interpretation costs by 80%, while delivering high-quality AIpowered translation for governments, broadcasters, and global agencies.
Early engagement confirmed market potential.
5. Global Sports Broadcaster – A long-standing customer expanded to live
multilingual translation across tournaments. Integrated into their existing
AIM infrastructure, the solution scaled seamlessly, increased ROI, and
reinforced AI-Media as their trusted innovation partner.
Together, these five early case studies show LEXI Voice as the key product
transforming accessibility, reducing cost, and creating scalable value for
customers across industries. In line with prior guidance, we anticipate
meaningful revenue from LEXI Voice to flow from H2 FY26.
Competitive Position
On competition, we are leading. AI-Media orchestrates best-in-class AI
technologies like Google, XL8, ElevenLabs, DeepL, ChatGPT into secure,
enterprise-grade workflows.
Our exclusive B2B focus is paying off: the top 20 customers contribute 80% of
revenue, with zero churn over four years evidence of resilience, scalability, and
customer trust.
